Ok, So I had lots of questions about how to mail things to Mexico, and have them RECEIVED!
Mailing packages is a bit of a tedious process. In my experience, the best way is to mail USPS Priority Flat Rate. I use the large box and it presently costs 39.95. These packages can be STUFFED, or in my case OVERSTUFFED! However, you must list just about everything and weigh it, if you use USPS online. You also must pick a customs form. It lists these numbers, what the heck does that mean??? After research...This is the one I almost always use, which means gift/humanitarian donation. However, when I mailed his Ipod, I did not state IPOD. I had loaded it with his missionary music, and put MP3 player w/ religious music. Mail is faster coming from there, but it cost a missionary about 600 pesos to mail a package. My son had to send back his Ecco's that Nordstrom said he was a 42, when he is really a 43. When I mailed his Ecco shoes, I mailed them in 2 separate packages. I did just mail a package with a pair of Ecco boots and some how wheels and barrettes to give to the kids for Christmas. I mailed this USPS Express, it is tracked all the way there. I did put zapatos fijos, which means your fixed shoes.

You can mail essential oils, depending on the flashpoint and cologne also. Unfortunately when mailing to Mexico, you have to omit or change you verbiage a bit, if you want it received. :(
It would also serve you to create labels with the Catholic religious stickers. They are very expensive if you go to Mancuso's and purchase the prayer cards. I will attempt to upload the ones I have created. Put them on EVERY seam. It is thought that they refuse to cut through the Mother Mary. And TAPE, TAPE, TAPE!! So...2 of the 4 packages have been received. The express mail package which took about 10 days and the one I mailed on Nov 28th. Today is January 2nd. One of the other things to consider is, the packages go to the PO box. The zone leaders receive and disburse on their schedule, usually only once a week and when closer to Christmas may be only to take a few, since many times they are on a bus, etc. They just can't load their sleigh and deliver packages to 185 missionaries. Send your package BEFORE Thanksgiving, especially if you mail a mini tree and would like them to have it up...my tree is still waiting to be delivered to my missionary and it was sent the day after Thanksgiving!
